Celtic rivals Ireland and Scotland will meet at the International Stadium Yokohama on Sunday 22nd September, in what will be the first pool match played by both teams at Rugby World Cup 2019.
Ireland and Scotland have only met once previously at the World Cup; during the pool stages of the 1991 edition of the tournament. Scotland won that match 24-15.
Overall, Ireland and Scotland have played each other on 135 occasions since their first meeting in 1877. Ireland have won 63 matches, whilst Scotland have won 67 matches. There have also been five drawn matches between the two sides.
